An iconic Hotel,
known as the “Gateway to the New Forest” the Balmer
Lawn Hotel sits in a countryside location with views over a cricket
lawn and open forest.
The hotel is family friendly with 12 different family rooms
and options. There are also three rooms for those with disabilities,
including wheel chair turning space, grab rails, and emergency
pull cords, plus lowered baths.
I found the hotel well organised and the staff were friendly
and helpful. Many of the rooms
have been tastefully modernised and the Lounge Bar Restaurant
has had a complete makeover. |

started life as a Hotel is the 1850s and over the years it has
seen many famous visitors and guests including King George V,
a Russian Tsar and General Eisenhower. |
