Boscombe is a popular sandy beach with a pier and many facilities.

Local info: Leading away from the beach is Boscombe Chine Gardens judged to be the ‘Best Park’ in the South & South East in Bloom competition 2010. At the top of the gardens is the Clock Cafe and one of the best Crazy Golf courses around.

Boscombe beach area has just undergone a £11 million redevelopment which has included: and artificial surf reef, refurbishing the pier, renovating Boscombe Chine Gardens, revitalised shopping complex, new toilet facilities and a surf school.

Free bus: (No 14): from Pokesdown Railway Station (you need to show a valid rail ticket) to Boscombe Pier in the summer months. The first bus leaves Pokesdown at 10:05 everyday and runs every 20 minutes.

Parking: Overstrand car park next to the beach holds 70 cars, 6 for disabled use. Postcode BH5 1BN. You can also park along the promenade west of the pier.
