Boscombe is a popular sandy beach with a pier and many facilities. There is a car park near the pier and you can also park along the promenade west of the pier.

Boscombe beach area has just undergone a £10 million redevelopment which has included:
• Europe’s first artificial surf reef
• Refurbishing the Pier
• Renovating Boscombe Chine Gardens
• Revitalised shopping complex
• New toilet facilities
• New Surf School premises

Free bus: from Pokesdown Railway Station (you need to show a valid rail ticket) and Hawkwood Road car park to Boscombe Pier. 
Starts 10.05, every 20 minutes, last bus from Boscombe Pier 7pm.

Kidzone: helps you to keep track of your children during your visit to the beach. Collect your free wristbands from the Seafront office, write your contact phone number and sit between the KidZone beach markers that match the colour on your wristband.

There is a beach office and Lifeguard cover from the 1st May through to the 30th September. 

Facilities: restaurants, cafes, surf school and shops.

Parking: Overstrand car park next to the beach holds 70 cars, 6 for disabled use. Postcode BH5 1BN
