Sandbanks is a small sandy peninsula with some of the most expensive houses in the UK, the beach is probably one of the best in the country and has been awarded the Blue Flag more times than any other beach in the UK.
At the end of the peninsula is the Sandbanks passenger and car ferry that makes the short trip across the mouth of Poole harbour to Isle of Purbeck and the Studland beaches.

Other facilities include a new playarea for children (
opened 28 July 2009), Water sports hire and a crazy golf course.

There is a beach office and Lifeguard cover from the 1st May through to the 30th September.

Facilities:
Restaurant, ice-cream kiosks and shops.

Bus: The number 50 Wilts&Dorset from Bournemouth Station to Swanage stops near to the beach (generally every half hour in the summer).
