West Cliff has a wide sandy beach with a gradual slope into the sea.

Local info: the beach office by the cliff lift is open from May through to September. 

700,000 cubic metres of sand was added to the Bournemouth beaches in 2006/07.

Parking: there is a car park at the Bournemouth International Centre on the cliffs above that holds 650 cars, 17 for disabled use. Postcode BH2 5BH

Bus: The number 24 Yellow Bus from Bournemouth Station to Alum Chine stops near to the beach (generally hourly).
