The Port of
Southampton is the Cruise Capital of Northern Europe. With its
unique double tide it allows unrestricted access for the world’s
largest cruise ships. Nearly all of the major cruise lines offer
cruises from Southampton with over 200 ships departing each year.
The Ocean Cruise
Terminal is the first purpose-built cruise facility to be built
at the port (2009) in over 40 years at a cost of £19
million. The Azura is the newest of the P&O Cruise liners.
