Divers Down
is Britain’s oldest dive school and in 2008 celebrated
its 50th Anniversary.
Diving takes place in the bay area and a variety of other sites
including many wrecks that lie in deeper water outside the
bay. |

| The Dive Shop on Swanage
Pier provides boat charter, air, nitrox and hire equipment
(open daily in the summer season). At weekends the air filling
station is open from 8am to 5pm (and later depending on demand). |

| Two boats
are used for diving;Swanage Diver and the new Catamaran, Smooth
Hound, Both boats take up to 12 divers and operate all summer,
going to local wreck and drift sites. |

Directions |

Arriving in Swanage
from the Sandbanks car ferry/Bournemouth (B3351) you’ll
enter the town along the sea front and Swanage Pier at the
far end of the bay.
Arriving in Swanage from Wareham
and Corfe Castle (A351) follow the town centre signs
and it will lead you to the sea front in which case
turn right keeping the sea front and Swanage Pier
at the far end of the bay.
