Classes for the Boating Enthusiast
RYA Marine Diesel Engine Course
Tutor: Owen Haisell. Approved RYA instructor.
Thursdays 7.30 pm - 9.30 pm. Commencing Tuesday 1 November 2011
A 5 week (2 hours per week) course follows the RYA Diesel Engine Certificate course.

Jo Jingles
Music, Movement and Singing Fun Classes
From 6 months to school age. Classes during term times in the Phoenix Room on Wednesday mornings from 9.45 am - 12.45 pm. Jo Jingles teaches children to play percussion instruments expressively, to sing songs and find rhythm to move and dance to. All great fun!

Computer Classes
Courses take place in the Community Centre's Computer Education Room. This has 12 computers using Windows XP and the most commonly used Microsoft programmes. A modern home computer is essential to enable students to practice between classes each week.


Getting Started
Thursdays 10.30 am - 12.30 pm commencing Monday 26 September, 2011 for 5 weeks
This is a beginners' level course designed to enable the learner to start with the basics of home computing, letters, spreadsheets etc.

Follow-on
Mondays 12.30 to 2.30 commencing Monday 7 November, 2011 for 5 weeks
This is an informal course designed for beginners who have some knowledge of computers. The course will show you how to use and personalise Windows and how to install and remove programmes.

Internet Exploring for Beginners
Thursdays 10.30-12.30pm. Commencing Thursday 19 January, 2012 for 5 weeks.
This course is designed for people who want to use the internet and email but may or may not know how to get started.

Basic Word Processing
Mondays 12.30 to 2.30pm. Commencing Monday 16 January, 2012 for 5 weeks
This course is designed for people who want to use word processing to produce letters, brochures, books etc. It will be assumed that attendees have no previous experience of word processing, but do know how to use Windows.

Christmas Card Creation on the Computer
Thursdays 10.30 - 12.30pm. 6 and 13 October, 2011
This 2-part course is designed for people who want to produce their own Christmas Cards. No knowledge of word processing or Microsoft Windows is assumed.

A one-day training and certification course for persons who are going to use a modern DSC Marine VHF radio.

The LCA Amateur Radio and Electronics Club (M0LCC)
Lymington Community Centre is the venue for the Amateur Radio Club covering the New Forest Area.
This course will enable those interested to take the first step into the world of amateur radio communications. At the end of this 5 week course a short test will enable the successful persons to obtain a low powered amateur radio licence.
