A unique opportunity for footballer lovers to hear the sporting hero, Bob Wilson talk about his life in the beautiful game.
The former Arsenal goalkeeper and TV personality, who received an OBE in 2007 will share his memories, anecdotes and feelings about his life in football, television, and the Willow Foundation.

Money raised at the event will assist the Willow Foundation provide special days out for seriously ill 16-40 year olds.
Paul Willis, Red House Museum Manager, said, “Bob is one of the real heroes of football. We are really privileged to have him at the Museum.”

In 1974 Bob embarked on a second career in sports journalism, presenting ‘Football Focus’ for 20 years and was also a regular presenter of ‘Match of the Day’ and ‘Grandstand’; then moved to ITV where he was the main presenter of football until his retirement in 2002.
Bob Wilson will talk about his life in 'the beautiful game' as Arsenal's goalkeeper during their 1970-1971 'double season' and later on as Arsenal's goalkeeping coach.

In 1999, Bob and his wife Megs setup the Willow Foundation in loving memory of their daughter, Anna, who passed away from cancer. Their charity has since supported thousands of young adults living with life-threatening conditions giving them a chance to escape the pressures of their daily routine and share quality time with family and friends.
