Old Gaffers Festival

The festival was opened by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston one of Britain's most outstanding sailors.

The harbour was  filled with colour from more than 100 visiting traditional sailing, steam and motor vessels, including the cream of the Old Gaffers fleet. 

Events included; street entertainment, live music, classic and gaff-rigged boats in the harbour, gaff-rigged boats racing within sight of the shore, visiting classic vehicles, craft fair and market, flower festival, lifeboat demonstration and so on.
