Summer days in England often make you think of escaping to the countryside and what better way to have a wonderful day out, than to come to one of the best County Shows in the UK, right on your doorstep in the middle of the beautiful New Forest.

Highlights for the 2009 Show include the Pony Club Mounted Games, Jamie Squibb’s motorcycle stunt display team and New Forest pig racing! In addition, the impressive livestock grand parade gives some of the champions of the cattle and horse competitions the honour of showing off their prized animals in the main ring. Old time Farming is showcasing the Land Army Girls and their memorabilia plus steam engines, tractors, classic cars and motorcycles.

Need inspiration for your garden? then inhale the captivating scents of the flower marquee, wonder at the amazing giant vegetables and enjoy the floral displays. Don’t forget to visit the food halls!

Children, whatever their ages, can enjoy all day entertainment at the Forest Fun Factory, including dancing, circus workshops and story telling, not forgetting a whole range of sporting activities.  There are children’s competitions, quizzes and games in almost every marquee across the Showground and a great reassure trail to take part in.

Other special events include an antiques fair, a furniture-making exhibition, an art gallery and some of the best craft tents in the Country.  Add to this, different bands across the showground to entertain you, with plenty of food and drink outlets nearby so you can sit back and enjoy the ambience.  Shopaholics have 600 stands to browse around so bring your holdalls!
