Branksome China, Fordingbridge 3-September-2008 map web

Branksome China was established in Bournemouth in 1945 by Ernest Baggaley; he developed a secret recipe for a unique porcelain, which was fine and light yet strong and durable. The pottery moved in 1966 to its present home in Fordingbridge to what was the Regal cinema.
Since the early 80s visitors can take a tour of the factory where they can see the china being hand made by the staff, using traditional methods.
The china is beautifully delicate and retains that 50s look which has made it so popular worldwide.
