| Wilverley Plain is a large
open grassy area which attracts large numbers of wild ponies. It
is the most popular destination in the New Forest for family outdoor
activities, whether it is ball games, kite flying, picnics, or walks.
The grassy lawn is surrounded by open forest with many excellent trails for walkers. The purple blooms of Common Heather carpets the open forest between August and September.  |
