Whale skeleton at Blackgang Chine I.O.W. - 1950s map

Blackgang Chine opened in 1842 as a landscaped garden and soon after this date it started displaying the skeleton of a whale washed up on one of the Isle of Wight beaches. For many years the skeleton was used a bazaar.
