A walk around Lymington

Church Lane
Hanoverian soldiers who were in exile from the Napoleon wars and stationed at this house in Church lane were thought to have constructed this fine example of a wavy wall at the beginning of the 19th century.

The wavy shape of the wall actually gives the wall extra strength and can be built at only a single brick width.
