From the Grill
The Hatchett Herd of Pedigree Dexter cattle roam the New Forest
and are based at a holding near Beaulieu within five miles of
Rhinefield House. The Dexter is a small cow, not a popular beef
for butchers as the yield is approximately 30% less than a traditional
cow such as Angus or Dutch Blue. The cattle are raised in a slow,
natural manner and fed on a grass based diet which gives the
beef its succulent flavour.
