I am researching the history of the Stroud family who lived in Lymington betweenthe1820s and 1850. My 2 x ggfather William Robert Stroud was the school master at the National School in New Lane, and he had an uncle Robert Stroud who was a shoemaker on the high Street. My great great grandfather died in 1847 and his family moved to Winchester. If anyone has any connection with them in anyway, I 'd love to hear from you. Jennifer Stroud email

I am attempting to trace the history of my 1931 Buick Limousine Reg.No. OU 8314 which was originally owned by a Mrs.Brocklehurst of Boldre Grange, Lymington. I would be pleased to hear from anyone who may know of the family, or even possibly the Buick. email

I am researching the Joseph D'Arcy family that lived in Lymington around the turn of the century. I believe they may have been in an area called Priestlands. Joseph D'Arcy (1780-1848) was married to the daughter of Lord De La Warr (Catherine-Georgiana West). They had at least 2 sons George Abbas Kooli D'arcy (1818-1885) and Robert West D'Arcy (abt 1820-1862). Robert married Anne Hewish Adams (~1817-?). All the men were highly ranking military officers. Is there a local historian that can help me? Thank you very much, Kelly Arellano Cowiche, WA USA email
