Set in 700 acres,
Moors Valley is home to a wide range of plants and animals
as well as recreational and play facilities. Every year over
750,000 visitors enjoy the cycleways, a tree-top trail, picnic
areas, lake and forest walks and play structures.
Alongside an extensive events programme further attractions

Go Ape High Wire Adventure
Opened at Moors Valley in 2003. Weekends from
27 February - 21st March
Daily from 27 March - Sunday 31 October (closed
Tuesdays during term time), plus open weekends throughout
November.
Moors Valley Railway
At weekends throughout the year from 10.45am to 4.30pm
(5.00pm in summer).
Moors Valley Golf Course
Moors Valley Golf Course offers
a full programme of golf tuition for both adults and
children. Daily 8.00am to dusk (except Christmas
day).
Moors Valley Walks
There are over 10 miles of waymarked walks and trails
at Moors Valley.
Moors Valley Play
Trail
The Play Trail was originally built and opened in 1992.
Orienteering
There has been a permanent orienteering
course in the Forest for over 10 years. Mountain bike
orienteering is also available.
Fishing
Fishing is permitted on Moors Lake from 16th June to
14th March.
Nature discovery
Over 4000 children take part
in Ranger-led nature discovery sessions every year
as part of educational visits or holiday events.

Accessibility |

Wheelchair:
The footpaths around the Moors and Crane lakes, the play trail
and in the vicinity of the Visitor Centre are tarmac or compacted
gravel and so are fairly good for wheelchairs.
The restaurant, country shop and golf centre are accessible to wheelchairs and
wheelchair accessible picnic tables can be found in the car park and main picnic
area.
A wheelchair and 2 battery powered scooters are available to borrow from the
Visitor Centre.
Accessible toilets can be found at the Visitor Centre, Kingsmere Station and
Golf Centre. |

Cycling
at Moors Valley Country Park

| Moors Valley
Railway is one of the longest, fully signalled narrow-gauge
steam railway in the south. There are 17 steam and 2 diesel locomotives
in use on the railway. The majority of the engines have been built
in the workshop at Moors Valley. |
Infants
Play Area
The infants play area was extended in 2008 and a new piece of play equipment
was added. |

Go Ape
High wire adventure course of rope bridges,
tarzan swings and zip slides - all set high up in the treetops. |
