Mottistone Manor Garden
  Description
A hillside garden set alongside an Elizabethan manor house. The garden was the creation of Sir John and Lady Vivien Nicholson, who lived at Mottistone from 1947.

The house is open on one day only: Bank Holiday Monday, at the end of May from 2pm - 5pm (additional charges apply). Guided tours for NT members on that day between 9.30am and 12 noon by timed ticket available on the day.

Steps from car park to entrance. Disabled visitors may be dropped off at the pedestrian entrance before parking. The grounds are partly accessible, loose gravel paths, steep slopes, some steps. Some visitors may require assistance from their companion. 1 wheelchair available.

Above: Near by is the charming and picturesque village of Brighstone. The village has a 12th century church, a National Trust shop, and museum with an exhibition of village life in the 19th century. The village is also an excellent base for walks, either on the downs above or the beaches below, it is without a doubt an area of outstanding beauty.
