Trivia |
 |
|
The Walhampton Arms
was originally part of the Walhampton Estate, the former Home
Farm included a dairy that produced milk and butter for people
living nearby.
Along Monument Lane (next to the pub) is a 75ft tapered obelisk erected in 1842 in honour of Admiral Harry Burrard Neale. He was Mayor of Lymington and helped introduce gas street lighting to the town, he was also a close friend of George III and his sister modelled many times for Gainsborough. He lived in nearby Walhampton House. |
