  Description
 
The Red Lion creates traditional, homemade meals incorporating both local and seasonal produce. They were the first pub to become an Associate Member of the New Forest Marque for their use of local New Forest produce. The Red Lion won the Marston Pub company's 'Southern Food Pub of the Year 2010'.

  Produce
Their pork sausage, venison and wild boar are supplied by the New Forest Sausage Company of Sway. The fish and shellfish are source as locally as possible. All are Marine Security council approved, from sustainable sources.
 
  Trivia
In recent times, Alfred Hurl celebrated his 90th birthday in the pub, he was actually born in the pub and his aunt owned the Oddfellows Arms (now the Filly Inn).
