The Solent Way - Walhampton, Lymington Airfield
RAF Lymington was built in the winter of 1943 prior to D-day; the US airforce flew Thunderbolts from here. The land was returned to agriculture in1946.
All that can be seen now is the Landing Strip and one Blister Hangar.
