In Captains Row was a girls school
run by a Mrs Young in 1803. An advertisement found for the school showed:
four–six years 6/- per quarter; six-nine years 8/- per quarter;
nine years 9/- per quarter; plus writing extra 7/- per quarter; embroidery
and print work included for 9/-.
